In his recently published and highly topical article, postdoctoral researcher Jeroen Wijnendaele1 discusses possible parallels between the Wagner Group, warlordism, and the "Fall of Rome." Jeroen is an expert in Late Roman political, military, and social history and is currently working on the project Connecting Late Antiquities2.
